Minimum age: Participants must be at least 15 years old.*
Mandatory equipment - Helmet is compulsory equipment regardless of age.
By the age of 18 is mandatory also, a spine shield. Mandatory riding equipment are riding pants, riding boots and helmet.
- Riders prior knowledge: the rider has mastered riding at a walk, trot, and canter; a solid riding balance and mastery of riding aids are required;
- riders must have a membership certificate from a national equestrian organisation or an equestrian club (e.g. the Jaha? 2 (Rider 2) exam of the KZS).
Please report to the entrance of the Lipica Stud Farm at least 15 minutes before the start of your ride.
Participants may weigh a maximum of 90 kilograms and be no more than 180 centimetres tall.
The minimum age of participants of the riding programme is 15 years.
The riding and the preparation of the horse before, during, and after riding are at your own risk. Persons under the age of 18 are the responsibility of their parent or guardian.
The trail riding programme is suitable and attractive especially for riders who have already mastered the basics of riding and know how to lead a horse independently.
Before the trail ride, the guide will examine each rider’s knowledge in the riding arena. This is to ensure the safety and well-being of the whole group.

But did you know that the Lipizzan breed was created in Lipica (pronounced “Lipizza”) in what is nowadays Slovenia?
