The Barka Bluestable is located only one kilometer from the Barka seashore on the Gulf of Oman, within easy reach from Muscat. This unique location provides a variety of opportunities for riders: you can help train endurance horses, book beautiful seaside rides as well as an overnight trip with camping. The beautiful scenery of the ocean is unforgettable and you will enjoy every minute spent there.
Your companions on this journey will be Arabian or Anglo-Arabian horses. Whether you choose to do a short two hour ride, or spend a few days going through the desert these horses are the perfect match. Arabians are known for their endurance, surefootedness and stamina which makes them great partners for the desert sands or ocean shore. These experienced mounts will lead the way for your expedition to be as exhilarating as possible. The Arabian horses are the staple of Bedouin communities and it will be an amazing experience to witness them in action first hand.
If you are interested or have experience in endurance riding and training, then this is the perfect place for you! The Barka Blue Stables specializes in endurance riding and their horses are extremely well trained and recognized, so being able to take part in this training is a unique and rare opportunity. If you have an Endurance license, you can take part in a race and a few days of amazing riding that will not only add to your repertoire as a rider, but stay with you as an incredible memory!
The Barka seaside is the perfect place for a leisure ride. Whether you prefer riding two hours or a full day, Blue Stables is the perfect place to enjoy the seaside from another perspective - the horses back. You can also enjoy a nice lunch and boat ride in the hot climate on the property! There is nothing better than feeling the sea breeze from your mount, the incredible Arabian horse.
Day 1: Arrival- Muscat City Tour- Dinner
Arrival at Muscat International Airport. Afternoon city tour – Meet and Assist upon arrival with our English Speaking airport representative. Check in the hotel. Then visit Muttrah Souq, one of the most popular souq in the Middle East. Take a walk in its alleyways , housing items ranging from imported fabrics to exotic Oriental spices, perfumes and richly handcrafted Artifacts. Visit to the magnificent Al Alam Palace, the official residence of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said the ruler of Oman. The palace is an architectural marvel for both its design and its location between the twin Portuguese forts Mirani and Jalali.
Day 2: Leisure
We will drive to Al Sawadi Beach resort hotel and check into the hotel. Meals will be at the hotel, and you will spend a relaxing day at the seaside, before meeting ohyour rses for lovely rides for the next few days.

Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a morning sea ride on the beautiful Sawadi beach along Oman sea. There will be many opportunities for exhilarating stretches of canters. After this, there will be an afternoon visit to the Rustaq Fort at 4 pm.

Day 6: Departure to Nizwa
Breakfast and check out from the hotel.
We will start driving to Nizwa, the first capital of the Sultanate of Oman. Nizwa has managed to retain its charm through the centuries with its strong guard tower that protects the city against invaders. There will then be a visit to the fort surrounded by palm trees. This fort was built in the seventeenth century by Imam Sultan Bin Saif Al Ya’ruba. Nizwa Souq is the city, famous for its handicrafts and agricultural products, has an expansive souq with an array of products. The souq bustles with vendors selling everything from meat, fish, fruits and Nizwa is renowned for its silver jewelry which is considered to be the best in the country. Its people are masters in Khanjar making (curved dagger), recognized for its distinctive style and patterns. They also make copper ware, coffee pots, swords, leather goods and pottery. We continue our drive to visit Bahla. It is a town in Ad Dakhiliyah, Oman. It is famous for its ancient fort and its pottery. The town is 40 km away from Nizwa and about 200 km from Muscat the capital. The old Bahla Fort with its 12 km (seven miles) wall is the oldest fort in Oman. The fort is believed to have been built in pre-Islamic times and is now undergoing reconstruction sponsored by UNESCO and the site is included on UNESCO’s list of World Heritage sites. The area rounded by the old wall is called Bahla Oasis and it is listed as an old area. Bahla pottery is famous throughout Oman, and is in great demand from tourists. A short distance beyond Bahla lies the Castle of Jabreen.
Day 7: Nizwa- Muscat
While driving back to Muscat, we will visit Ibra – Birkat al Mawze
